It’s that time of year… When our hair gets VERY dry!!! The best leave-in conditioner for your hair is nothing other than laundry room fabric softener. It’s very strong, so be sure to dilute it. Suggestions: 1 cup water, 1/2 cup fabric softener…. Leave it in your hair about 4 minutes as a normal conditioner and it will feel amazing!!! …. and smell great as well! <3

Bet you didn’t know that the very CHEAP product called VASELINE could be SO useful?!?!
To Improve your Smile
Just rub it all over your front teeth and gums to really make your teeth glisten. When you’re watching a beauty pageant on TV,They always have a gleaming smile – that’s all thanks to Vaseline!
To Soften your Feet
Soak your feet in a warm tub of water for up to 15 minutes, and then rub the rough areas of skin with a pumice stone. When you are finished exfoliating the skin, take some Vaseline and rub it into those areas. For even better results, throw on a thick pair of socks and go to bed. When you wake up the next morning, you will notice a considerable difference in the softness of your feet!
To Moisturize your Lips
rub a little into your lips to hydrate them and it will give them that wet, kissable shine. You can apply Vaseline right overtop of any lipstick you wear too.
To Style Dry Hair
If you have dry hair just dab a very small amount of Vaseline onto your fingers and style your hair as you usually would (do use very little as Vaseline can quickly make your hair go from healthy looking and shiny to greasy and oily in seconds). The Vaseline will hold your style and your hair will feel and look better too!
To Tame your Brows
Did you know that Vaseline can be used to hold your brows in place? Take a tiny little bit of the product and then apply it to your eyebrow area with either an eyebrow brush or with your fingertip.
To Remove your Eye Makeup
Do you get UNSIGHTLY bags under your eyes?!?! I hate them! So here are a few ways that I found for your to fix the problem!
Give Yourself a Massage
One of the reasons why we develop under eye bags is because the area is not being stimulated enough. Take your index fingers and then gently massage the skin around your eye area. This will help increase both the blood flow and the flow of fluids in the area, which in turn will reduce the appearance of your under eye bags.
Eating fresh foods rather than those loaded with salt – which causes our whole body to bloat, including our eye area – will greatly reduce your under eye bags and puffiness. Drinking a large quantity of fruit juices that aren’t loaded with sugars will also help flush out all of the toxins and the excess salt and sodium from our system.
If you can handle the taste, lemon juice is the best juice to drink to help prevent bloating (add a tablespoon of honey if you are finding it too difficult to drink). Make sure that all juices you make are fresh and made by you and are not store bought. Store bought juices tend to be loaded with sugars which will not help reduce your under eye bags.
Papaya is great for a number of different skin issues, but under eye bags is definitely its forte. Take a papaya and then mash it. Collect the juice, and then gently apply the juice right around your eye area (use a patting motion so as to not damage the skin around the eyes). The beta carotene in the papaya will help heal all eye problems, including under eye bags, and it will help repair any facial tissues that may be helping create the under eye bag problem.
Eye creams have been proven to be effective, and are definitely worth trying before you take a drastic and serious step towards surgical removal of your under eye bags. You will want to choose creams that have particular substances in them, such as:
- Phytessence Wakame
- Cynergy TK
The cold weather is here… and, unfortunately, it brings out the worst in our skin. A lot of people get those small bumps on the backs of their arms during this time of the year. Those are called Keratosis Pilaris and about 80% of us will have them at one point in our lives.. Well, I have the solution to help rid of those annoying little things! Surprisingly, the answer is VERY simple! Exfoliating with a good body scrub two to three times per week, in the area, to rid of dry and dead skin and moisturizing with a heavy moisturizer one to two times per day…….and VOILA!! They are GONE!
Like I said in a previous post… The glossy smoky eye is so in today! You can achieve the look by doing your normal routine with your shadows and adding a thin coat of clear lip gloss on top…. OR you can use this shimmery gunmetal cream shadow! Just line your upper and lower lashes with a black pencil or black liquid liner, then blend this all over lids. ($18.50, maccosmetics.com) <3
The topknot is still VERY in style this season… A great and simple way to make your tresses look adorable and it goes with just about any look… Casual or dressy… Just a new look to change things up once in a while… I will be doing a video very soon to show you just how easy this is to do yourself!
